After the Pandemic people got bored with loud colors. A shift for this season will be calm, neutral and natural!
Let’s talk about neutral color palettes. That doesn’t mean you have to stick to beiges, whites and grays but certainly for big blocks of color they make a huge impact. You can still use pops of color and still be on trend. Muted like pale blues, baby pink and soft yellows. If you think calming colors, you’ve nailed the summer palette for 2022.
Soft curves are replacing anything to geometric for this summer. Look for things like rounded beds, sofas and statement pieces that are not rough around the edges.
If you want to add a touch of summer to your home without completely redecorating, add rounded cushions on your sofa and beds. Even a few rounded accessories added to a room will help soften the creases.
Bring the outdoors in is key! Live plants are huge not only do they smell great, but they directly affect the quality of air we breathe and improve mental wellbeing. Add Jungle greens, pine green, mossy greens and light greens into the color palette which work quite well with the soft muted accent colors you introduced.
Ultimately, summer 2022 is all about keeping things calm! Calm colors, calm shapes, calm textures!
